Christmas is an annual opportunity for us to reconnect with friends we may have lost touch with. All festivals have that special attribute as that is a period when we tend to get nostalgic, with fond memories of the days gone by reinvigorating us and making us dig into history.
The joy of sending friends and relatives physical greeting cards is disappearing — the process of picking the right card for the right person and giving it some personalisation is itself fun. The electronic era is killing that habit.
