But will SMRT also take steps to improve quality of driving?
SMRT adding 543 buses to its fleet over the next two years is good news for commuters in Singapore, with the first batch hitting the roads as early as this July.
Nonetheless, it will hardly be helpful if the quality of driving does not improve. It already has world-class buses (Mercedes Benz, Volvo, etc.) running on well-asphalted roads. That does not guarantee passengers a smooth ride because of very bad driving. This is what we can call making the worst of the best!
