Singapore on ISIS Hit List

With a stable, firm Government in place, even Singapore is not safe from ISIS.

Reports in the local media today suggest that the ISIS targets are no longer confined to the U.S. and Europe.

Singapore and the Philippines are on their hit list as well. The reports are based on social media claims made by ISIS.

Singapore merlionSurrounded by Islamic countries such as Malaysia and Indonesia that have been feeding fighters to ISIS, the threat is real.

More than 700 fighters from Indonesia and 200 from Malaysia are believed to be in Iraq and Syria now.

Worse, even Singaporean Islamic youths are getting radicalised, going by the arrest of two of them this week. One of them was said to have been planning to launch attacks in Singapore.

Fortunately, Islamic leaders in Singapore vow by peace and go about educating their misguided people about the misplaced terror notions they cherish.
