India’s Scandal of the Year

One Modi Protecting another Criminal Modi

Whether it is the BJP or the Congress ruling India, what is certain is that scamsters will reign with governmental support!

lalit-modi-sushma-swaraj-4 Even a quick glance at the images and videos of India’s Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj fraternising with the fugitive kingpin behind IPL frauds, Lalit Modi, is enough to convince any sane guy about the close vibes the two share.

lalit_modi_narendra_modi_20100426.jpgPrime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah are also seen enjoying great camaraderie with Lalit Modi in several photographs.

It is not just some casual photographs taken a few years ago, they are a demonstration of the warmth they share – Sushma sitting next to Lalit Modi, and the two merrily laughing, and the body language of the Minister suggests how close a rapport the two enjoy.

Tip of the iceberg: That is just the tip of the iceberg. Sushma Swaraj’s daughter is the lawyer for Lalit Modi, so there is a conflict of interest. The minister’s husband and the entire family have been in touch regularly with Lalit Modi who is sheltered in London and who does not want to return to India to face the law.

Why is India not asking for the extradition of Lalit Modi? The U.K. has always been a safe haven for the world’s criminals.

368980-swarajThe BJP and Narendra Modi were voted to power because the country was fed up with the corrupt Congress regime.

The only excuse the BJP now has in Sushma’s defence is that the Congress has no moral authority to talk about the scandal. Raking up the CWG, 2G and coal scandals only shows that the BJP wants the right to unleash its own scandals on the country.

Rubbish! This is not about the Congress, it is about the BJP’s scandal! So Mr Narendra Modi and the BJP are answerable to the country. They cannot sidestep the issue by talking about corruption under the Congress. That is too lame to pass muster.

If Indians think that Mr Narendra Modi will give the country a corruption-free regime they are only fooling themselves.
