Microsoft says this could raise security risks
Samsung is apparently not content with taking on Apple in the ongoing smartphone war, itching for a PC combat with Microsoft.
According to a BBC report today, Samsung is disabling Windows updates in a move that could potentially trigger security issues by giving malware a free run.
Samsung has denied the reports, arguing that it was only giving users a choice.
Microsoft, for its part, says: “We do not recommend disabling or modifying Windows Update in any way as this could expose a customer to increased security risks.”
But then, business is all about staying in the news and the ability to walk away from controversy!
