Cooking Fun in San Francisco

Role-Playing for Team-Building

It was a party with a difference where about 25 of my Genesys colleagues and I had the oppoIMG_2676rtunity to turn chef at a unique restaurant in San Francisco last night. It was an interesting game of role-playing for fun, relaxation, bonding and team-building!

Hands On Gourmet

For the first time in my life I got to put on an apron and try my hand at cooking. Well, not exactly, as I was just pretending to cook.

IMG_2710We were broken down into four groups and given different recipes, from appetisers to desserts. Fortunately, each group was also provided with a seasoned (no pun intended) chef to guide us.

Spinach, Chicken, Stuffed Eggplant: I took on some minor tasks such as cutting spinach, seasoning chicken, grilling it and stuffing some veggies into sliced eggplant. “Is this the first time you are holding a knife, Joslin?” That was a poser from my manager (VP, Sales / Sales Operations), who went on to joke: “we cannot afford to have our writer chop his fingers off.”

IMG_2667The restaurant goes by the name, Hands on Gourmet. It sells no food items and we eat what we cook. A fun concept!
