American Capitalism Lets Communism Flourish
For all the noise the U.S. unleashes about the value of democracy and the lack of it in China, Uncle Sam is among countries that allow communism, patent thefts and the red giant thrive.
All talk against expansionism and human rights abuses is just empty rhetoric and bunkum meant for public consumption.
Memorabilia Made in China: During my recent visit to Washington DC I got into the White House gifts shop to pick up some memorabilia. Every item it sold there was made in China.
If my guess is right, 90% of all products sold in the U.S. are made in China. In fact, patronage of China is evident in everything available for sale in every affluent country worldwide.
Designed in the U.S. (or wherever) and made in China means little, except that cheap manufacturing has only helped the latter become an economic powerhouse. The benefits of low-cost manufacturing are seldom passed on to those buying the goods which are sold at a premium.
The consumer is the victim of the unholy business nexus between the U.S. and China. The West loves preaching values while patronising pernicious practices in countries outside of their realm.
