U.S. President Donald Trump may be living up to his reality TV-style aggression in alignment with his personality.
But the pace at which he is antagonising people, both world leaders and frontbenchers, he may soon become an embarrassment for even his diehard supporters.
Australia may have tried to deflect the problem on its hands, through a deal on refugee resettlement struck with Barack Obama, to the U.S.
That should be no excuse for Trump to use such abusive language in insulting Australian Prime Minister Turnbull.
It nonetheless appears the U.S. will honour the deal, thanks to some damage control by his backend team.
Australia, for the record, is one of the strongest allies of the U.S. It is time Trump started to act like the President of the world’s most powerful nation.
