I did not watch the semi-final of the World Women’s Chess championship last night with players from India and China involved in a battle of wits – and nerves.
But, per Susan Polgar in a Tweet, Harika missed a Queen exchange that could have taken her to the final.
That then is the challenge a player faces in chess – one error costs you the game with hardly a chance to bounce back.
This is the third consecutive time Harika has failed to make it to the final. Tan Zhongyi faces second-seeded Muzychuk of Ukraine in the final.
