I don’t watch Times Now often because of its lack of balance in political coverage. But tonight it came out hitting hard and right against Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad, who yesterday hit a 62-year-old Air India MP with slippers 25 times. It even had the poser: “Is Goon Gaikwad the new face of India.”
But the goon has his sympathisers.
Suman C Raman came up as one, saying the MP’s offence was not a big deal, so he cannot be expelled.
His argument: MPs will show solidarity with the goon and will survive. Is this the kind of an “intelligent” argument one expects from a political analyst?
The rogue MP will perhaps survive, but should he be allowed to?
The question, to borrow the Times Now tagline, is: Do Goon Gaikwad and Sanju Verma represent the face of New India?
