Ion Orchard has walked away with Best Dressed Building 2015 award, an annual occurrence during Christmas in Singapore.
Having seen the other malls on Orchard Road decked up in Christmas splendour, I had anticipated Ion to walk away with the top honours. While Ion was the Judges Choice voters picked Orchard Gateway as their favourite.
Ion glitters with a stunning Swarovski Christmas tree decorated with sparkling crystals outside the mail. It is a tree with a cavernous walk-in interior with a rotating chandelier. Visitors can walk into the tree and be dazzled as Swarovski crystals and mirrored ceilings embellish the dome and take them on a magical journey.
Further charm is in store around the Swarovski tree, with the space holding exciting elements, including lighted reindeer decorations and a blue-coloured Christmas tree-shaped dome and periodical snow bubble shows.
